Hey there. I'm a believer in breakfast, though I have the same problem you do -- not really being hungry early in the day. What I do is mix about a half cup of greek yogurt with some fruit (usually frozen blueberries) in a container and bring it to work with me. By the time I'm hungry, the blueberries are usually thawed. :) It's light, full of protein, and good for you. If you want something even quicker and still good for you, maybe a banana?

This is a small bit that came to me post-yoga this morning. My normal (non-workout days) routine is to get my ass up with a bit of coffee, then go about my normal day. Hunger doesn’t kick in til around noon. With yoga, (and any other time I decide to sweat in the morning) my stomach immediately starts pitching a fit. It seems like a combination of proper hydration and afterwards I’m lightheaded. I can go without coffee, but I get lightheaded quickly regardless. 

Any suggestions on a light snack pre or post workout that would help with these issues? I’m not exactly grain-happy, but any suggestions to help settle my stomach would be AMAZING.

I know I go through spurts of updating this regularly. I had for awhile temporarily had to give up yoga because my arm hurt far too much to support myself. I suppose it’s a given considering my grabbag of medical issues and disabilities, but with how blech I felt this morning (and my arm finally supporting me) I made it through a nice 20 minute workout.

Anyway. I know I don’t do much in the way of plugging but after looking for some comfortable sandals last year I stumbled upon these heavenly shoes. I am a creature of comfort in many ways, and always loved the feel of the mat under my feet. After a summer’s worth of wear and tear they’re still very well-put together. And what with the weather getting warmer around here, I thought I’d share my find.

I found this as something interesting and possibly a think I might try when I’m feeling up to it. My lifting schedule is changing but I’m trying to keep an open mind on all of it!
